House of Research is the independent practice of Sinem Celik, based in Melbourne, working across industry and sector intelligence and tender price estimation for Australian and New Zealand markets.
The practice runs two streams. Research covers sector analysis and growth strategy, labour market and macroeconomic analysis, asset maintenance and supply chain. Estimation prices tenders for contractors, built two ways and reconciled so the number holds under evaluation.
Much of the work is quantitative — modelling, benchmarking, estimation — but the useful part is rarely the arithmetic. It is knowing which comparison is fair, which data source is load-bearing, and where an apparently precise figure is resting on an assumption nobody has examined.
That discipline comes from a doctorate in investment modelling and from teaching the subject at university level, then applying it in commercial research and estimation.
We partner with hard and soft facility management providers across Australia and New Zealand. Smaller, well-scoped briefs are welcome — a defensible answer to a narrow question is often worth more than a broad report nobody reads.
